27/10/2009

THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM
Located in the heart of the country within the National Forest near Lichfield~ the National Memorial Arboretum comprises 150 acres of trees and memorials devoted to the concept of Remembrance.

It is the home of the Armed Forces Memorial~ a striking and emotive structure that gives recognition and thanks for those who have died whilst on duty or as a result of terrorist action since the Second World War and acknowledges the enduring sacrifice of those who mourn their loss.
Recent Events:
Saturday `17 October saw `7~500 motorcyclists arrive for the second Ride to the Wall~ `to remember Armed Forces personnel who have been killed since World War II and to raise funds for the National Memorial Arboretum.
